Jefferson Moore and “The Stranger” series

September 15, 2008

I want to comment today on the work of Jefferson Moore. This man has, by the grace of God, been given an extraordinary gift for communicating the truth of Scriptures in a wonderful way. He has taken characters from the Bible, such as Mary and Martha, Mary Magdalene, Thomas, and The Woman At The Well, and has re-set them in our day and has delivered a powerful message. He has also taken parables like “The Prodigal Son” and has blessed us with the truth of a Father who loves us no matter what.

Then there are two stories; “Salt” and “Walk on Water” in which he has taken the truth of scripture and has delivered stunning messages that will at the same time, humble and inspire us to greater devotion to God and to His Word. “Salt” will call you to stand firm in the faith and hold fast to the message of the Bible in the face of opposition from “people in authority.” The Word of God is sharper than any two edged sword and is powerful for the pulling down of strongholds, and we must  become adept at using this Sword of the Spirit to defend the faith and to call sinners to repentance for their unbelief.

Walk on Water, which is probably my favorite, will move you with the love of God for His children and will inspire you to stand for the truth no matter what; Jesus promised never to leave you nor forsake you. So why should you even consider trying to hide your lamp under a basket. We must not be under cover Christians. Jesus said that If you are ashamed of Him, He said He would be ashamed of you! You are either for Him or against Him. There is no such thing as a neutral Christian.

Will you step out in faith, stand firm in the truth, turn away from foolish doubts and trust in Jesus to do exactly as He said? I urge you to watch these as well as ‘The Perfect Stranger’ and its sequel, ‘Another Perfect Stranger.’ Trust me when I say you will be blessed.  Pray for Jefferson Moore as he ministers to the people of God in this wonderful series. You can visit his site and order the series. But don’t just take my word for it. You can see some clips of the Stranger Series on

Soli Deo Gloria
